Undaunted Courage

Go west! We traveled west to a place where we seldom go – St. Charles! There have been times where we have gone months without even driving through St. Charles County, not to mention stepping foot in St. Charles. But it was well worth the drive – and not just to take the kids by Bass Pro Shops. St. Peters cooks up some great cod. Three weeks in a row with some great cod. It was interesting comparing it to the Lady of the Lakes from the previous week. Lady of the Lakes had very spicy breading, with the fish a little on the dry side. St. Peters was very subtle breading, but moist and flaky. Two different styles, but two great cod.  And two weeks in a row, a high ranking fish fry:

The final two weeks for the Fish Fry Family
Where will we spend the final two weeks? The last three weeks have been scripted with planned trips, but right now the final two weeks could be anywhere. We are thinking of Good Friday to go to Saint Stephen Protomatyr to revisit a place where we haven’t been for several years.
