The Search for the Best Fish Fry Begins for 2012 (Plus, Post Fish Fry Coffeehouse)

Going West and South to Start the Fish Fry Season
The Fish Fry Family will start the fish fry season by heading west on Wednesday to check out St. Alban Roe in Wildwood.  St. Alban Roe appears to only have a fish fry on Ash Wednesday.  On Friday, we are headed to south county to Saint Catherine Laboure in Sunset Hills.  Check out the reviews over the weekend.

Post Fish Fry Coffeehouse
What do you do when you are stuffed with fried cod and other goodies?  How about some live music and coffee, all for a good cause!  Friday Night Fish will be headed to the St. Margaret of Scotland's Friday Night Coffeehouse (Church basement at 3854 Flad Avenue).  Doors open at 7pm with entertainment from the renown St. Margaret choir beginning at 8pm.  $10 donation at the door with all proceeds benefiting the choir's 2013 trip to Scotland.  The Coffeehouse will be monthly with the next two on February 24th and March 23rd.  Did we mention the fair trade coffee and performances from some of the top choir members in St. Louis?

  1. I like the St. Stephen Protomartyr fish fry best. I have been to 6 frys so far this season and their cod is delicisous. They have a cornmeal, golden dypt batter. The spahgetti sauce is homemade and great also. Can't beat the price of $8 for two large pieces of cod and 2 sides, desert and drink.

Year End Reviews

Sometimes it is hard to compare fish fries from year to year. Comparing that Cod from 2014 to 2008 can be a little tough. With that in mind, below is a yearly re-cap for each of the following years. We got a little busy in 2015, then 2017-2019 went by in a blur, so we are missing a few years, so sorry!

Fan Poll Winners - Best Fish Fry

Every year Friday Night Fish hosts a fan poll to crown a yearly fan favorite Fish Fry. It's a two step process with Round 1 selecting five finalists, and Round 2 voting from the final five to crown the yearly fan champion. So get ready every year for the annual poll and get your supporters voting for your favorite fish fry! We had some voting "irregularities" in 2014, so we discontinued the poll (for now).

For a recap of past winners see Past Fan Poll Winners.
